Stephanie Smith, MS, CCC-SLP
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Stephanie is a graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. She studied Business Communications with a concentration in Speech Communication Disorders. Stephanie continued her education at North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. There she earned a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Her initial position was as a school-aged SLP within the North Carolina public school system, serving K-5 children. Additionally, she provided early speech therapy intervention services to at-risk pre-k children within the school district at their homes. She moved to the southern-central portion of NC and worked as the lead SLP for five skilled nursing facilities. While living in Eastern NC, her primary caseload has been pediatric clients. Her passion is weaning children off feeding tubes to a primarily oral, regular diet. She enjoys watching kids eat cookies or ice cream for the first time! Stephanie has a variety of experience working with children with Autism, developmental delays, learning disabilities, hearing impairments, speech disorders (apraxia), Fragile X Syndrome, Down syndrome, Treacher Collins Syndrome and other neurogenic disorders. In her spare time, Stephanie loves all Marvel and DC movies!
